Located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Medical University, Nanning - the capital city, founded in November 21, 1934, is the school earlier one of the 22 medical schools, to recruit foreign students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students. Medical Research & teaching is one of the main focus of Guangxi government to build up the universities, Guangxi Medical education, medical research, clinical care and preventive care center.
School campus covers an area of about 71 thousand square meters. As of April 2011, full-time students (including doctoral students, postgraduates, students of this college, adult education, full-time undergraduate, advanced students, matriculation students) of 11,000 people. Schools (including subordinate Annex) have compiled teaching in more than 3600 medical and paramedical staff, including 963 full-time teachers; 763 teachers have graduate degrees, 97 doctoral guidance teachers, 259 professors, 297 associate professor.
